"Don't Pass Me By."
I'm not asking for more
than sometimes from you, doll.
Take you with me on tour,
You are the one I adore.
Are you feeling what I'm feeling?
You bring into me that sexual healing.
Let's take a walk by the shore,
and learn from each other much more.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: Profound Love in Simple Pleasures: A Heartfelt Appeal in 'Don't Pass Me By' by Ricardo Derose.
'Don't Pass Me By' is a touching plea for companionship, exploration, and growth in a relationship. As the author, I used t
his short poem to communicate my emotional depth and longing for shared experiences. The poem is a tribute to a romantic relationship's power and serves as an invitation to participate in a journey of mutual discovery and learning.
The initial lines, "I'm not asking for more than sometimes from you, doll. Take you with me on tour; you are the one I adore," present a humble appeal for companionship. The request is not for grand gestures but for shared time, a joint journey. It subtly hints at my adoration, signifying the depth of the emotions involved.
"Are you feeling what I'm feeling? You bring into me that sexual healing." Here, the poem takes a slightly intimate turn, articulating the connection I sense with the addressee. It speaks of a powerful healing bond transcending the physical, hinting at a shared synergy that offers a deep, comforting connection
The final lines, "Let's take a walk by the shore, and learn from each other much more," conclude the poem with a gentle, endearing invitation. It symbolizes a wish for the relationship to evolve through shared experiences and mutual learning. The shore, often symbolic of life's ebb and flow, is a metaphor for the journey ahead.
Essentially, 'Don't Pass Me By' is a heartfelt plea for love, companionship, and shared growth. It illustrates my longing for shared experiences, profound understanding, and mutual emotional healing.

Unmasking the Harsh Reality of Profit-Driven Healthcare: A Deep Dive into 'Lives Over Profit' by Ricardo Derose.
"Lives Over Profit"
The industry of pharmaceuticals sets the bar,
Selling vaccines and medicines, near and far.
The media, senates, and governments sway,
Ask yourselves, where does the money truly lay?
Saving Lives Over Profit never seem to align,
Keep us sick to stay rich; the system is designed.
With my pen of critique, I let these words unroll,
A call for change, a painful plea from the soul.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: Unmasking the Harsh Reality of Profit-Driven Healthcare: A Deep Dive into 'Lives Over Profit' by Ricardo Derose.
'Lives Over Profit' is more than just a poem—it is a piercing critique of the profit-oriented pharmaceutical industry. As a philosopher and an advocate for societal change, I felt a profound responsibility to shed light on the dubious realities of this sector, which, although entrusted with the noble task of saving lives, often seems to prioritize profit.
The first two lines: "The industry of pharmaceuticals, sets the bar, Selling vaccines, and medicines, near and far," set the stage, illustrating the far-reaching influence and the consequential nature of the pharmaceutical industry. Yet, the industry's primary drive often appears to be profit-making rather than delivering life-saving treatments.
"The media, senates, and the governments sway; ask yourselves, where does the money truly lay." In these lines, I invite readers to scrutinize the role of media, lawmakers, and governments in the healthcare narrative. Do they act in the public's best interest, or do monetary incentives sway their decisions?
"Saving Lives Over Profit never seem to align; keep us sick to stay rich, the system is designed." Here, the ugly truth emerges. The system is structured so that maintaining a population's illness can be more profitable than promoting health—a chilling reality.
"With my pen of critique, I let these words unroll, A call for change, a painful plea from the soul," I conclude the poem by echoing a desperate plea for transformation. The status quo is unacceptable, and we must persistently demand a healthcare system that truly puts lives before profit.
To sum it up, 'Lives Over Profit' is not just a critique—it's a call to action, a plea to question, resist, and reform a system that seems to have lost sight of its true purpose—preserving life over accumulating wealth.

Lessons of Time: Reflecting on 'Time The Teacher' by Ricardo Derose.
"Time The Teacher."
If, from the Past, you have learned
At Present, you would be less concerned,
about how the Future will be turned.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: Lessons of Time: Reflecting on 'Time The Teacher' by Ricardo Derose.
"Time The Teacher" is a poetic manifestation of my respect for time's teachings and belief in its power to instill wisdom. In three straightforward lines, I distill the essence of life's journey, one marked by lessons from the Past, actions in the Present, and uncertainties about the Future.
The opening line, "If, from the Past, you have learned," prompts us to reflect on our past experiences. These experiences, whether joyous or filled with adversity, serve as our life's curriculum, offering invaluable insights and lessons. But learning isn't simply about experiencing; it's about understanding and transforming those experiences into wisdom.
"At Present, you would be less concerned" transitions us to the present moment - the only time frame we truly have control over. It stresses that once we absorb the lessons from our Past, our Present becomes less anxious and less dominated by concerns and worries. This understanding liberates us, allowing us to focus on the here and now and influencing our actions for better outcomes.
The final line, "about how the Future will be turned," rounds out the poem with a nod to the uncertainty of looking forward. While we may not have control over the Future's trajectory, having learned from our Past and made the best use of our Present, we can approach it with less apprehension and more confidence.
In summary, "Time The Teacher" is a poetic celebration of life's continuum - past, present, and Future. It's a testament to time's inherent wisdom and a reminder that time, if respected and understood, can be our greatest teacher. So, as you tread on your life's journey, remember to learn, to act, and most importantly, to trust in time.

Trusting the Inherent Wisdom: A Reflection on 'You Have All The Answers' by Ricardo Derose.
"You Have All The Answers."
Stop running around asking all these questions.
All you will get are somebody else's opinions.
Life is a journey full of adventures.
Trust your intuition; you have all the answers.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: Trusting the Inherent Wisdom: A Reflection on 'You Have All The Answers' by Ricardo Derose.
In my poem "You Have All The Answers," I call for a profound inward journey that requires an acute awareness of self and the world. The poem urges readers to tap into their inner wisdom rather than relying on external perspectives.
We live in an age where we are constantly bombarded with information and opinions. This continuous exposure often pushes us to question our understanding and seek answers from external sources. While there's a certain value in seeking diverse perspectives, true wisdom lies within us.
The first two lines, "Stop running around asking all these questions. All you will get are somebody else's opinions." challenge the prevalent culture of seeking external validation and wisdom. They remind us that each person's perspective is shaped by their unique experiences and may not align with our truth.
Life is a journey full of adventures and experiences that allow us to learn, grow, and discover our individuality. Relying excessively on other people's opinions often clouds our ability to hear our intuition, the inherent guidance that resides within us.
The concluding lines, "Life is a journey full of adventures. Trust your intuition; you have all the answers," encapsulate this notion. They reiterate the importance of trusting our intuition and underscore the belief that we innately possess the wisdom to navigate life's complexities.
This poem isn't just a call for self-reliance but a push for self-discovery. It encourages readers to listen to their internal voices, trust their instincts, and realize that the answers they seek lie within them. So next time you question your decisions or beliefs, remember - you have all the answers. You need to trust yourself and listen.

Harmonizing Justice and Equality: A Step towards 'World Peace' by Ricardo Derose.
"To See World Peace."
One must cultivate a sense of justice,
And has to reject any idea of nationalism.
Cannot be biased and play favoritism,
If one truly wishes to see World Peace
~Ricardo Derose
Title: Harmonizing Justice and Equality: A Step towards 'World Peace' by Ricardo Derose.
My poem 'To See World Peace' underlines a profound call for justice, rejecting biased favoritism and nationalism, to build a peaceful world. The essence of this verse lies in understanding that the principles of fairness, unbiased views, and universal acceptance are the bedrock of a harmonious global society.
In the lines, "One must cultivate a sense of justice, And has to reject any idea of nationalism," I emphasize the importance of nurturing justice. It signals the need to move beyond restricted territorial loyalties that fuel divisions and conflicts. The undercurrent of nationalism, often clouded by an intense love for one's nation, can harbor prejudice and hatred against others.
When I assert, "Cannot be biased and play favoritism," I'm underscoring the necessity for impartiality. It's a reminder that biases and favoritism breed inequality resentment, and hinder peace. Regardless of our societal roles, we must strive to practice fairness in our actions and judgments.
Concluding with, "If one truly wishes to see World Peace," I reaffirm the poem's central message. The pursuit of world peace isn't merely an abstract ideal; it's an attainable reality, but only if we can uphold justice, reject biases, and dissolve the barriers of nationalism.
'To See World Peace' is more than a poetic expression; it's a plea for reevaluating our principles, attitudes, and actions to construct a peaceful global society. If we wish to see a peaceful world, we must learn to embody these values daily.

Upholding Authenticity Amidst Social Imitation: An Interpretation of 'Your Conclusion' by Ricardo Derose in Today's Digital Landscape.
"Your Authentic Conclusion."
What you do,
It should never be,
Because of what other people do.
What you do,
It should always be,
What makes sense to you.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: Upholding Authenticity Amidst Social Imitation: An Interpretation of 'Your Conclusion' by Ricardo Derose in Today's Digital Landscape.
In 'Your Conclusion,' I delve into the crux of personal authenticity and its vital role in our actions. This philosophy is notably significant amidst today's digital era, frequently witnessing a parade of imitations in the guise of influence. The profusion of 'creators' or 'influencers' on social media often finds themselves caught in a perpetual wave of trend-following, abandoning their unique identity at the altar of popular appeal.
The poem's opening lines, "What you do, Should never be, Because of what other people do," ring resonant in this context, mirroring a modern dilemma. The digital landscape is brimming with influencers and creators who shadow popular trends and styles, seeking attention, views and likes instead of offering their originality to their audience.
As we move forward into the verse, "What you do, Should always be, What makes sense to you," we uncover the heart of the message – the need for personal agency and authenticity. Rather than succumbing to the echo chamber of social media trends, the focus should be to hearken to our inner wisdom and maintain our uniqueness.
Essentially, 'Your Conclusion' is a call to uphold authenticity amidst a sea of digital homogeneity, a potent reminder for influencers and creators to seek and nurture their distinctive voices. Trend-chasing, temporary engagements, or ego boosts should not divert the course of our true essence.
However, it's crucial to realize that being an influencer is a responsibility in its own right. It's not merely about the number of followers or likes; it's about the influence we wield over our audience's lives. The real victory lies in making a positive impact rather than just making a spectacle.
The poem serves as a reminder of our individuality amidst the constant hum of digital influence. As I often say, we're not here merely to make noise but to make a difference, employing our authentic voices.
In essence, 'Your Conclusion' calls for creators, influencers, and everyone else to honor their authentic selves in their decision-making process. The responsibility to live usefully and positively impact their audience should precedence over popularity. This message invites all to navigate the waves of social media influence, holding onto our individuality with a steadfast grip. It's not about echoing the crowd; it's about making your voice heard amidst the clamor.

A Stark Reflection on Modern Society: Dissecting 'We Are Immoral' by Ricardo Derose.
"We Are Immoral."
So hard to see, harder to say,
The way the world's going today.
Sad we can't sway a future astray,
In schools, churches, and hospitals, people get slay.
Our young are proud to be seen as thugs,
For good times, drink alcohol and take drugs.
Gun speaks, so quickly starts busting slugs,
Young souls are piling up our morgues.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: A Stark Reflection on Modern Society: Dissecting 'We Are Immoral' by Ricardo Derose.
In the powerful poem, 'We Are Immoral,' I paint a disturbing picture of modern society and the dire consequences of our actions. The verses reveal a growing disconnect between our moral values and activities, especially concerning the younger generation's conduct and the world's current state.
The opening lines, "So hard to see, harder to say, The way the world's going today. Sad we can't sway a future astray, In schools, churches, and hospitals people get slay," lay bare the distressing reality of violence in spaces that should signify safety and tranquility, such as schools, churches, and hospitals. The inability to shift a future spiraling into chaos is a stark wake-up call, a cry for immediate and necessary change.
The following lines, "Our young are proud to be seen as thugs, For good times, drink alcohol and take drugs. Gun speaks, so quickly starts busting slugs, Young souls are piling up our morgues," delve into the deterioration of youth culture. With pride in antisocial behavior and substance abuse normalized, violence quickly follows. The repercussions are tragic – young lives lost prematurely, a grim sight in our morgues.
As I crafted 'We Are Immoral,' I intended to reflect on our society's shortcomings and the urgent need for transformation. The poem is a stark mirror, reflecting our reality to initiate much-needed introspection and action. As a collective, we must remember that we can change, and it's within our power to reshape this disheartening narrative.

So hard to see, harder to say,
The way the world's going today.
Sad we can't sway a future astray,
In schools, churches, and hospitals, people get slay.
Our young are proud to be seen as thugs,
For good times, drink alcohol and take drugs.
Gun speaks, so quickly starts busting slugs,
Young souls are piling up our morgues.

The Inevitable Flow of Time: Delving into 'Value Your Time' by Ricardo Derose.
"Value Your Time."
You can never waste time,
You can never make time.
When time allows,
your life will go on.
When the time comes,
your life will be gone.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: The Inevitable Flow of Time: Delving into 'Value Your Time' by Ricardo Derose.
My poem 'Value Your Time' aims to encapsulate the immutable essence of time and our inevitable journey through it. I underscore time's relentless, unalterable nature and our place within its unfathomable expanse in this brief yet profound piece.
The first lines, "You can never waste time, You can never make time," confront a common misconception. Time, being an unchanging and ever-advancing phenomenon is beyond our control. It cannot be created, nor can it be wasted. It merely exists, and we exist within it, bound by its unyielding march.
The subsequent lines, "When time allows, your life will go on. When the time comes, your life will be gone," illustrate the all-encompassing life cycle within time constraints. Our existence continues as time permits, and just as inevitably, it ends when our time is up.
The central idea behind 'Value Your Time' is to recognize time as an unstoppable force that guides our existence. It is neither our adversary nor our ally but a constant, impartial companion on our life journey. Recognizing this reality enables us to appreciate the present moment truly and make the most of our time here.
Essentially, 'Value Your Time' reminds us to embrace our existence within time's grand narrative. Let it guide us to appreciate the present, live purposefully, and cherish every moment we are given.

The Inevitability of Time: A Reflection on 'Time Gots Us All' by Ricardo Derose.
"Time Gots Us All."
Eventually, we learn in time,
that nobody gots time.
But time got us all,
because it is time that buries us all.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: The Inevitability of Time: A Reflection on 'Time Gots Us All' by Ricardo Derose.
'Time Gots Us All' profoundly contemplates time's inescapability and relentless nature. A direct, poignant reminder of our mortality and the fleeting nature of our existence, it is a profound reminder to value and make the most of our time.
The opening line, "Eventually, we learn in time, that nobody gots time," delves into our realization that time, despite its ubiquity, always seems to be in short supply. As we move through life, we often find ourselves rushing, always chasing after time, yet it seems just out of reach.
The concluding line, "But time got us all because it is time that buries us all," is a stark reminder of our mortality. Its relentless march underlines that time will ultimately claim us all.
'Time Gots Us All' is a call to consciousness about the preciousness of our fleeting moments. It prompts us to live mindfully, appreciate the present, acknowledges our mortality, and realize the importance of wisely investing our time.
As I penned these lines, I aimed not to instill fear or melancholy but to encourage introspection and appreciation of the present moment. Time may indeed have us all, but we can strive to lead lives of significance and purpose within its confines.

The Elevation of Manhood: A Look at 'The Mature Men' by Ricardo Derose.
"The Mature Men."
Mature men,
look into the ladies' heads and hearts.
Immature men,
Constantly mention their body parts.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: The Elevation of Manhood: A Look at 'The Mature Men' by Ricardo Derose.
'The Mature Men' is a succinct yet impactful poem illuminating the difference between mature and immature masculinity. This piece isn't merely a commentary; it's an aspirational blueprint, urging the embodiment of a deeper, more respectful form of masculinity.
In the opening line, "Mature men, look into the ladies' heads and hearts," I emphasize the importance of spiritual, intellectual, and emotional connections. Mature men comprehend that authentic relationships stem from understanding and valuing a woman's thoughts, qualities, and feelings.
The second line, "Immature men constantly mention their body parts," contrasts the first line, spotlighting a shallow focus on physicality. It highlights a form of highly driven masculinity focusing on sex that lacks depth, valuing physical attributes over the richness of a woman's mind and spirit.
"The Mature Men" is an appeal for a shift in perspective. It calls for men to evolve, valuing the depth of women beyond their physical attributes and fostering relationships rooted in respect and emotional intimacy.
We must encourage this maturity in masculinity, fostering respect, empathy, and emotional intelligence. This maturity isn't just beneficial for women; it's a step towards a healthier, more empathetic society for all.

Contradictions of Freedom: A Deeper Look Into "The Land Of The Free" by Ricardo Derose.
"The Land Of The Free."
The land Of The Free,
The protector of liberty,
Ironically, built its economy,
on stolen land and slavery.
In The Land Of The Free,
The protector of democracy
There is no equality.
or acceptance of diversity.
And The Land Of The Free,
Is one of the leading Countries,
Currently, widely,
own the most colonies.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: Contradictions of Freedom: A Deeper Look Into "The Land Of The Free" by Ricardo Derose
. In my poem "The Land Of The Free," I dissect the profound irony in the narrative of nations that have championed themselves as protectors of liberty and democracy. This piece offers a critical view of the historical and current realities that counter such self-proclaimed ideals, exploring the disparities between promises and lived experiences.
The first stanza, "The land Of The Free, The protector of liberty, Ironically, built its economy on stolen land and slavery," calls attention to the troubling history of nations, notably the United States. The building of their economies by exploiting enslaved peoples and usurping land starkly contrasts their image as a land of liberty.
The second stanza, "In The Land Of The Free, The protector of democracy There is no equality or acceptance of diversity," highlights the persistent inequalities within these nations. Despite being protectors of democracy, systemic issues related to race, gender, and economic status undermine their commitment to equality and diversity. This contradiction is a call for introspection and reform.
The final stanza, "And The Land Of The Free, Is one of the leading countries, Currently, widely, own the most colonies," underscores the ongoing influence of colonial legacies. Though these nations no longer openly colonize, their global economic and political reach mirrors historical colonialism. This stanza encourages readers to question their understanding of freedom in a global context.
In conclusion, "The Land Of The Free" encourages critically examining our historical narratives and current realities. As an advocate for human rights and equality, I challenge readers to question the narratives they've been fed and look beyond surface-level presentations of freedom.
After all, true liberty can only be achieved when we acknowledge the existing contradictions and actively work towards addressing them.

Beyond the Physical: A Reflection on 'The Ultimate Beauty' by Ricardo Derose.
"The Ultimate Beauty."
Nevertheless, The Ultimate Beauty,

Title: Beyond the Physical: A Reflection on 'The Ultimate Beauty' by Ricardo Derose.
In my poem "The Ultimate Beauty," I explore the concept of beauty as an entity that transcends the physical and material realms, asserting its immeasurable and incomparable nature.
In the opening lines, "Nevertheless, The Ultimate Beauty Is not priceable. The Ultimate Beauty Is not comparable," I challenge societal norms that often attach a price or comparison to beauty, emphasizing that 'The Ultimate Beauty' cannot be measured or compared. This concept upholds the value of individuality and uniqueness, discouraging the common practice of beauty standards comparison.
"The Ultimate Beauty Is beyond special. The Ultimate Beauty Is non-physical." I further extend this philosophy. Here, I hint at the profound depth of beauty beyond physical appearance, venturing into realms of character, spirit, and essence. This perspective reinforces that beauty's true measure lies in virtues, kindness, compassion, and inner strength rather than the physical attributes often lauded.
Thus, "The Ultimate Beauty" is a poetic reminder that beauty is not confined to physicality or comparative standards. Instead, it is a multidimensional concept, fundamentally rooted in our essence and manifested through our actions, beliefs, and impacts on others.
The poem serves as an encouragement to perceive beauty beyond the surface level, promoting a deeper understanding of Beauty that encompasses the entirety of human existence and spirit. I believe in the transformative power of this perspective, empowering individuals to embrace their unique beauty and foster a more inclusive and empathetic understanding of beauty as a whole.

Unearthing the Strength and Harnessing the Power of Identity: An Exploration of my poem 'My Blackness' by Ricardo Derose.
"My Blackness."
Do not underestimate or under-appreciate,
the beauty of Blackness.
With time, the source of light will dissipate,
but still will remain The Blackness.
From the Blackness, born the light,
as the true meaning of the first will be the last.
Just as after every daylight comes the night,
Sooner or later, the light will go past.
I am not a son of the sun,
I wear my origin on my skin.
Stronger than that color, there is none,
for I carry the power of a black hole within.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: Unearthing the Strength and Harnessing the Power of Identity: An Exploration of my poem 'My Blackness' by Ricardo Derose.
My poem "My Blackness" springs from exploring self, identity, and heritage, understanding the profound depth and strength inherent in being part of the black diaspora. The value in one's Blackness isn't confined to skin color; it envelops a rich heritage, shared history, an innate strength, and resilience that shapes individuals and communities.
In the first stanza: "Do not underestimate or under-appreciate, the beauty of Blackness. With time, the source of light will dissipate, but still will remain The Blackness." I convey the enduring nature of Blackness. It remains strong, persistent, and beautiful, even as the source of light—the symbol of external validation or borrowed definitions—fades away
This Blackness is expressed through resilience, wisdom, creativity, and the inherent strength of spirit, the fabric of our existence. It is reflected in our communities' unity, the power of our voices, and the richness of our cultural practices and traditions.
Moving onto the second stanza: "From the Blackness, born the light, as the true meaning of the first will be the last. Just as after every daylight comes the night, Sooner or later, the light will go past." I allude to the cyclical nature of life and existence. It underlines that from Blackness, all life originates, and to it, everything returns, reinforcing our roots and the journey's continuity.
So as the light fades and the night comes, we are reminded that it is from Blackness that the light is born, and to the Blackness, it will return. This cycle is a metaphor for life, a reminder of our origins, and a prophecy of our potential. As a son of the black diaspora, I don't just wear my origin on my skin; I embody it in my very existence.
The visible manifestation of this Blackness is more than just a color. It is a state of being, an aura of power, a well of potential. It's present in the color of my skin, but it's so much more than that—it's the legacy of my ancestors, the strength of my present, and the promise of my future.
In the final stanza: "I am not a son of the sun, I wear my origin on my skin. Stronger than that color, there is none, for I carry the power of a black hole within." I emphasize the power and resilience of Blackness. It indicates that this identity is not merely a reflection of light, like the sun, but a profound, intrinsic quality akin to the strength of a black hole contained within our skin.
My Blackness isn't just a part of who I am; it's the foundation upon which I'm built. It's a source of power, a badge of honor, and an eternal testament to the enduring spirit of my people.
This Blackness is manifested through resilience, wisdom, creativity, and inherent strength of spirit, forming our existence's fabric. The unity of our communities, the power of our voices, and the richness of our cultural practices and traditions offer an eloquent testament to this.

the beauty of Blackness.

Embracing Dualities of Existence: A Reflection on 'Life And Pain' by Ricardo Derose.
"Life And Pain."
The fact which remains,
is there no joy without pain,
that is part of the concept of Yin and Yang.
What is greater than pain,
is a greater brain,
more powerful than anything.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: Embracing Dualities of Existence: A Reflection on 'Life And Pain' by Ricardo Derose.
'My poem, "Life And Pain," is a poetic exploration of the inherent dualities of human existence. It aims to underscore the interdependent nature of joy and pain, drawing on the concept of Yin and Yang to articulate this balance.
The opening lines, "The fact which remains, is there no joy without pain, that is part of the concept of Yin and Yang," highlight the inevitable presence of joy and pain in life. This acknowledgment draws from the ancient Chinese philosophy of Yin and Yang, representing complementary forces that interact within a greater whole, each part giving rise to the other as they interrelate.
The concluding lines, "What is greater than pain, is a greater brain, more powerful than anything," express the potent capability of the human mind. This capacity transcends the physical realm of pain, illuminating the strength of the mind in navigating life's challenges. It's a reminder of our inherent ability to learn, adapt, and find resilience amidst adversity.
In sum, "Life And Pain" navigate the profound truths about human existence. The journey through life is marked by alternating periods of joy and pain, each giving depth and meaning to the other. Furthermore, the piece emphasizes the potent capacity of the human mind to navigate these intricate landscapes of our existence, advocating a mindset of resilience and adaptability. The poem is a testament to the enduring power of the human spirit, ever resilient in life's dualities.

The Essence of Love: Unraveling the Depths of Companionship in "Companionship" by Ricardo Derose.
"Companionship."
It does not require a ring,
In a romantic relationship.
The most important thing,
is the companionship.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: The Essence of Love: Unraveling the Depths of Companionship in "Companionship" by Ricardo Derose.
My poem "Companionship" is a succinct yet deep exploration of the essence of a romantic relationship, asserting that the core lies not in the material symbols we often associate with such bonds but in the connection and camaraderie shared between two individuals
In the first two lines, "It does not require a ring, In a romantic relationship," I challenge the conventional narrative that often prioritizes a symbol like a ring in a romantic relationship. Although societal norms often emphasize the significance of a ring, equating it with commitment, it is not the ultimate requirement in a relationship. The tangible has no value if the intangible — emotional connection, shared experiences, mutual respect, and love — is absent.
In the concluding lines, "The most important thing, Is the companionship," I highlight that companionship is the bedrock of a fulfilling relationship. The companionship I speak of here encompasses shared life experiences, emotional intimacy, understanding, mutual respect, and love that binds two individuals together. It is the joy of shared laughter, the comfort in shared silence, and the solace in shared sorrow.
By underlining companionship's significance, the poem fosters a profound understanding of relationships transcending material symbolism. It sends a powerful message, urging readers to prioritize emotional connection and mutual understanding, the backbone of a meaningful romantic relationship.
In essence, "Companionship" promotes a more profound comprehension of romantic bonds, underscoring companionship as the true testament of love, surpassing all materialistic symbols.
As a reflection of my philosophy, it urges readers to focus on the essence of love — companionship — as the genuine pathway to a fulfilling relationship.

Unyielding Hope Amidst Devastation: A Poetic Reflection on Cancer by Ricardo Derose.
"Cancer."
Neither you nor I could ever think cancer
would be the diagnosis.
But, hey, look me in the eyes; I swear, together,
we will fight and get through this.
Yes, I understand we are never prepared
to live with any diseases.
And I know you're scared,
in pain, and feel your whole world fall into pieces
I know it isn't very comforting
taking into account all the analysis.
But I know it's less terrifying
when not standing alone in the abyss.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: Unyielding Hope Amidst Devastation: A Poetic Reflection on Cancer by Ricardo Derose.
My "Cancer" poem is an emotionally potent discourse that journeys through the complex psychological landscape accompanying a life-threatening diagnosis. Imbued with raw emotions of shock, fear, and despair, this piece is an emblem of enduring resilience, strength, and unwavering hope in times of devastating adversity.
The initial lines, "Neither you nor I could ever think cancer would be the diagnosis. But, hey, look me in the eyes; I swear, together, we will fight and get through this," emanate a deep sense of disbelief and fear inherent to the revelation of such grave news. However, as the poem's creator, I extend a firm assurance of steadfast support and unified strength to confront the looming adversity.
A profound sense of vulnerability accompanies such life-altering moments, highlighted as I acknowledge the upheaval a disease like cancer can induce in one's existence. "Yes, I understand we are never prepared to live with any diseases. And I know you're scared, in pain, and feel your whole world fall into pieces." This honest admission delineates the anguish, fear, and disarray brought forth by the magnitude of this diagnosis.
As the poem unfolds, a beacon of hope persistently glows amidst the bleakness. I assert, "But, hey, look me in the eyes; I swear, together, we will fight and get through this." This commitment embodies the poem's essence, an unwavering pledge to stand shoulder to shoulder-in the face of the tempest.
In the concluding verses, "I know it isn't very comforting considering all the analysis. But I know it's less terrifying when not standing alone in the abyss," I underscore the invaluable role of collective resilience. The terrifying chasm of the disease feels less daunting when one finds solace in shared solidarity, emphasizing the vital part of a strong support network during life's most challenging trials.<
In conclusion, "Cancer" is an intimate exploration of the emotional tumult induced by a cancer diagnosis. Throughout this narrative, I strive to capture the raw emotional turbulence while emphasizing the irrefutable power of collective resilience and unwavering solidarity.
The poem serves as a beacon of hope, delivering a resounding reminder that one is never alone in the face of adversity. This piece is a testament to shared strength, companionship, and the indomitable spirit of hope amidst life's most daunting trials.

"A Clarion Call for Justice: Unraveling the Depths of 'Protect Our Rights' by Ricardo Derose."
"Protect Our Rights."
Witnessing abuses and remaining silent,
makes you complicit.
Representing the law and being violent,
still makes it illicit.
Show willingness to risk our lives,
to protect our human rights.
Letting one person's rights deprive,
will result in everyone's rights taking smites.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: "A Clarion Call for Justice: Unraveling the Depths of 'Protect Our Rights' by Ricardo Derose."
In my poem, "Protect Our Rights," I navigate the complexities of social justice, human rights, and the importance of individual and collective accountability in safeguarding these rights. It is a stark reminder of our shared responsibility in this struggle.
The poem begins with a confronting notion: "Witnessing abuses and remaining silent makes you complicit. Representing the law and being violent still makes it illicit." These lines challenge the reader to reflect on their role in the face of injustice. They are a wake-up call to the grave reality that silence and indifference can be as harmful as the act of oppression itself. Even those who represent the law are not exempted from the rules of morality and justice; their violent actions against the people they should protect are equally illicit.
The poem's second part reads: "Show willingness to risk our lives, to protect our human rights. Letting one person's rights deprived will result in everyone's rights taking smites." Here, I urge the reader to understand that the struggle for human rights requires sacrifice and collective effort. It's a call to protect our rights and the rights of others, recognizing that the deprivation of one individual's rights is an attack on the rights of all. It is about solidarity and understanding that human rights are a collective responsibility.
In conclusion, "Protect Our Rights" is a powerful call to action. It urges us all to play our part in the fight against injustice and to never remain silent in the face of oppression. We must always remember that protecting our human rights and the rights of others is a shared responsibility. It is not only for the well-being of individuals but also for the overall health of our societies.

"Integrity as the Heart of Authentic Living: A Reflection on Ricardo Derose's Poem."
"Integrity."
Some will question your integrity,
even when you act with honesty.
Integrity is not a phase
but consistent moral uprightness actions.
Integrity does not expect praise
but for its actions to match its intentions.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: "Integrity as the Heart of Authentic Living: A Reflection on Ricardo Derose's Poem."
As the author of this poem, I aim to shed light on a fundamental yet often misunderstood aspect of human character: Integrity. In the poem "Integrity," I encapsulate the essence of this virtue in four insightful lines.
The poem commences with, "Some will question your Integrity, even when you act with honesty." In these lines, I recognize the common conundrum faced by individuals who lead their lives with integrity. Regardless of their moral actions, they may still face scrutiny from others. This scrutiny does not invalidate their integrity but demonstrates the difficulties of consistently upholding it in a world where it is often misunderstood or undervalued.
The following lines, "Integrity is not a phase but consistent moral uprightness actions. Integrity does not expect praise but for its actions to match its intentions," present my philosophy on the true nature of integrity. It is not a fleeting state of being but a consistent commitment to moral uprightness. Integrity lies not in the search for external validation but in ensuring that our actions align with our inner values and intentions.
This poem underlines the silent power of integrity, a virtue that asks for no recognition yet profoundly impacts the individual and those around them. It urges the reader to internalize that integrity consistently embodies one's values, regardless of outside perception or the lack of immediate praise.
Integrity is the unseen guiding force in our lives, enabling us to make ethical decisions and fostering trust in our relationships. We create an authentic life of fulfillment and purpose by aligning our actions with our intentions.
To sum up, this poem explores the essence of integrity and its role in leading an authentic life. Through these words, I aim to inspire readers to embody this virtue in their daily actions and interactions, regardless of external validation or scrutiny. It is the quiet power of integrity.

Some will question your integrity,

Fidelity Unleashed: Understanding Loyalty from the Unlikely Teacher - "Monty" by Ricardo Derose.
"Monty."
Monty is so invincible and unstoppable
that not even a storm can stop him from exploring.
If such an animal can be so loyal,
I wonder why people can not follow the same example.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: Fidelity Unleashed: Understanding Loyalty from the Unlikely Teacher - "Monty" by Ricardo Derose.
I am about to explore loyalty from an unexpected perspective – that of my Siberian Husky, Monty. Through the verses of my short philosophical poem "Monty," I aim to shed light on the lesson of unconditional loyalty that we can learn from our four-legged companions.
"Monty is so invincible and unstoppable that not even a storm can stop him from exploring." With this line, I introduce the character of Monty, who symbolizes courage, fearlessness, and a spirit of relentless exploration. Despite the harshness of the storm, Monty remains undeterred, reflecting his innate loyalty towards his purpose. Regardless of the circumstances, his determination signifies a steadfast commitment often seen in loyal creatures.
"If such an animal can be so loyal, I wonder why people can not follow the same example." In the concluding lines, I pose a thought-provoking question, comparing Monty's unwavering loyalty and the often wavering loyalty in humans. The question is a mirror held up to society, encouraging introspection on our understanding and practice of loyalty.
My poem "Monty" aims to challenge conventional thinking about loyalty. By presenting the loyalty of a Siberian Husky as a metaphor, I intend to stimulate reflections on our behavior as humans. Can we, with all our complex emotions and superior intellect, learn from an animal's straightforward and unwavering loyalty? That is the question we should ponder, for therein lies the key to cultivating more profound relationships based on mutual trust and respect.

The Elusive Nature of Loyalty: Unraveling the Conundrum of Faithfulness in Relationships by Ricardo Derose."
"The Confusion Of The Meaning Of Loyalty."
Do not waste your breath talking to some people about Loyalty.
The word itself, for many, is a mystery,
let alone the nature of its meaning.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: The Elusive Nature of Loyalty: Unraveling the Conundrum of Faithfulness in Relationships by Ricardo Derose."
Let us delve into the depths of one of humanity's most valued yet enigmatic virtues in my poem "Loyalty." Through simple yet profound words, I lay bare the complexities surrounding the understanding and application of Loyalty in the human experience.
"Do not waste your breath talking to some people about Loyalty. The word itself, for many, is a mystery." This statement at the beginning of my poem is a poignant acknowledgment of the often misunderstood concept of Loyalty. For many, Loyalty is casually tossed around in conversations without a deeper understanding of its essence. It's a word layered with vast significance, yet, ironically, its true meaning is lost in translation in people's minds, rendering it a "mystery."
In the second line, "Let alone the nature of its meaning," I underscore the challenge inherent in understanding Loyalty's definition and grappling with its nature. Loyalty, in its truest form, is more than a mere commitment. It embodies faithfulness that transcends superficial obligations and touches the realm of innate respect, trust, and unconditional support.
In conclusion, "Loyalty," as a philosophical exposition, invites introspection. It is a call to delve beyond the surface-level understanding of Loyalty and explore its profound depths, which, when truly grasped, can transform relationships and cultivate an environment of mutual respect and trust. As individuals and collectively as a society, nurturing this understanding will help us foster deeper connections rooted in the real essence of Loyalty.

"The Chains of Mind: Breaking Away from the Illusion of Racial and Nationalistic Divisions by Ricardo Derose."
"Still Mentally Enslaved."
Segregation was a great example
of the irrelevance of ethnicities.
Or Black folks, identifying themselves
by their nationalities.
Since it was either a Black or White neighborhood,
A question to erase all confusion:
"What would be your hood?"
~Ricardo Derose
Title: "The Chains of Mind: Breaking Away from the Illusion of Racial and Nationalistic Divisions by Ricardo Derose."
Through this article, I am offering a thoughtful analysis of my poem, "Still Mentally Enslaved." The poem explores how we categorize and separate ourselves based on ethnicity and nationality. My work illuminates the enduring shackles of societal norms and divisions. In the lines, "Segregation was a great example of the irrelevance of ethnicities. Or Black folks, identifying themselves by their nationalities," I underscore a harsh historical truth.
Segregation, a dark period that segregated society based on race, disregarded the rich tapestry of individual ethnicities and nationalities within the 'Black' or 'White' categories it imposed. It was a gross oversimplification that reduced people's diverse cultural identities into crude racial groups.
It brings us to the poignant question, "What would be your hood?" This question is intended to challenge the reader, forcing them to question the validity of social constructs such as race, nationality, and ethnicity. The 'hood' or neighborhood one identifies with is often determined by these constructs, but does that define who we are? Or is it just another form of mental enslavement?
My intention through this poem is to inspire a journey of self-reflection, encouraging individuals to transcend the superficial divisions created by society. It calls for unity, an appeal to recognize our shared humanity over and above our racial, ethnic, or national identities.

"Wisdom in Choices: Distinguishing Between Maturity and Immaturity in Relationship Decisions by Ricardo Derose."
"Mature Versus Immature."
The Mature women,
recognize the men,
who will make a difference.
The Immature women,
Chase the men,
who will destroy their entire existence.

Title: "Wisdom in Choices: Distinguishing Between Maturity and Immaturity in Relationship Decisions by Ricardo Derose."
I seek to delve into my poem "Mature Versus Immature," which clearly distinguishes between mature and immature women in their choice of partners.
"The Mature women recognize the men who will make a difference." In this line, I emphasize the wisdom of mature women. Their lived experiences and emotional intelligence equip them with an intuitive understanding of the characteristics that constitute a good partner. They seek men who will positively change their lives, respect, support, and nurture them, aligning with their values and life goals
"The Immature women Chase the men, who will destroy their entire existence." Contrasting to the first line, this part of the poem highlights the unfortunate consequences of immaturity in relationship decisions. Immature women, perhaps dazed by transient charms or misled by illusions, often end up with men who disrupt their peace, compromise their self-worth, and may even hinder their personal growth.
"Mature Versus Immature" is a compelling commentary on emotional maturity's critical role in making conscious and rewarding relationship choices. The poem appeals to all women to critically evaluate their relationship decisions, learn from past mistakes, and strive toward maturity, which promises a more fulfilling and harmonious love life.

"A Journey Towards Love: Overcoming Past Wounds and Embracing Present Love by Ricardo Derose."
“Each Other’s Greatest Love.”
That’s why, each day, I pray,
thanking the universe for sending you my way,
and you’re here to stay.
Because baby, before you, I was so confused
the few girls I opened my heart to made me feel used
and abused.
They have taken my love and my kindness for weakness.
But it was all a test,
To better prepare me for your goodness.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: "A Journey Towards Love: Overcoming Past Wounds and Embracing Present Love by Ricardo Derose."
"Each Other's Greatest Love." A journey through the landscapes of the heart, shaped by past heartbreaks, marked by moments of mistreats, misunderstandings, and misappreciation. Every bruise and scar is a testament to our resilience and healing capacity.
Heartbreak, while painful, holds within it the seeds of wisdom. It's an invitation to delve deeper into self-understanding and self-love. It prompts us to reassess our boundaries, needs, and relationship patterns. Mistreats and misunderstandings are often mirrors reflecting the areas where we need to grow. They show us where our expectations might not align with reality and where communication and compassion are. Misappreciation guides us to recognize the value we hold within ourselves, independent of others' recognition. It teaches us the importance of self-validation and the power of appreciating ourselves. Through these challenging experiences, we gradually uncover what real, genuine love means. It's a love that is kind, patient, and accepting. It sees clearly, understands deeply, and appreciates wholeheartedly. It's a love that allows space for growth and transformation for ourselves and others.
Ultimately, these trials lead us to the profound realization that we can be each other's greatest love. As we navigate through the twists and turns of relationships, we learn to embody love that is not merely a feeling but a deliberate and persistent act. An act that fosters understanding nourishes connection, and celebrates individuality. In the grand tapestry of love, it's the heartbreaks, the mistreats, the misunderstandings, and the misappreciation that shape us, that guides us home to ourselves, and ultimately to each other, in a dance of mutual growth, respect, and profound love.
"That's why, each day, I pray, thanking the universe for sending you my way, and you're here to stay." In these lines, there's a profound gratitude for the arrival of a cherished love in my life. This love has been instrumental in reshaping my perspective and healing past wounds, reinforcing my belief in the healing capacity of sincere affection.
"Because baby, before you, I was so confused; the few girls I opened my heart to made me feel used and abused." Here, I admit to previous experiences of emotional trauma and betrayal. These experiences often left me confused and disappointed, ultimately creating barriers that hindered the free expression of my love and kindness.
"They have taken my love and my kindness for weakness. But it was all a test, To better prepare me for your goodness." These final lines unveil a twist in perception. The past hurtful experiences were not mere sources of pain; they were trials that tested my resilience and ability to love. Each experience served as a lesson, strengthening my capacity to appreciate, recognize, and reciprocate the true love that eventually came my way.
"Each Other's Greatest Love" hence speaks volumes about personal growth, the pain of heartbreak, and the rejuvenating power of love. It encourages the audience to view their past experiences as necessary steps toward a fulfilling relationship.

"Moral Reflections: On Justifying Immorality and The Quest For Self-Acceptance by Ricardo Derose."
"The Immoral Mindset."
The immoral man always sees the moral man as immoral,
Just a way for him to justify his immorality.
We all hold a degree of immorality,
but judging the next man as amoral just makes us feel less guilty.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: "Moral Reflections: On Justifying Immorality and The Quest For Self-Acceptance by Ricardo Derose."
"The Immoral Mindset" is a contemplative exploration of our innate human tendencies to justify our misdeeds and inaccurately assess the morality of others.
"The immoral man always sees the moral man as immoral, Just a way for him to justify his immorality." This line exposes a common psychological tactic often employed by individuals grappling with their moral compass: projection. Individuals may temporarily soothe their guilt and self-doubt by attributing their immorality to others, particularly those leading a more righteous life. It's a defensive strategy to avoid self-confrontation and an attempt to level the moral playing field in their favor.
"We all hold a degree of immorality, but judging the next man as amoral just makes us feel less guilty." This ending verse reveals an inherent truth about human nature: we all harbor certain degrees of immorality. However, it's crucial to recognize this and strive for better rather than mask our flaws by casting stones at others. It suggests a path toward self-acceptance and a call for introspection, encouraging us to focus on our moral growth rather than comparing ourselves to others.
In essence, "The Immoral Mindset" is an invitation to introspection. It urges us to examine our actions, question our motives, and face our moral shortcomings head-on. As we continue our journey toward self-improvement, we must foster a mindset of self-awareness, responsibility, and empathy rather than one clouded by denial, judgment, and self-deception.

"Wealth and Poverty: A Matter of Perspective and Financial Behaviors by Ricardo Derose."
"The Rich And Poor Mentalities"
It is not a condition, being Rich or Poor,
Where some have little and others have more.
But it is a mentality
that depends on how you manage money.
Poor people spend and act,
As if they are Rich.
Rich people, as a matter of fact,
spend and behave as if they are Poor.
~Ricardo Derose
Title: "Wealth and Poverty: A Matter of Perspective and Financial Behaviors by Ricardo Derose."
I penned the poem "The Rich And Poor Mentalities" to delve into wealth and poverty, not merely as financial states but as mindsets that shape our attitudes towards money and its management.
"It is not a condition, being Rich or Poor, Where some have little and others have more. But it is a mentality that depends on how you manage money." These opening lines challenge the traditional definitions of Rich and Poor. Being Rich or Poor is not simply about the quantity of wealth one possesses. Instead, it leans more toward the mindset we carry and how we handle our finances.
"Poor people spend and act As if they are Rich. Rich people spend and behave as if they are Poor." These lines highlight the ironic paradox that often exists between the spending behaviors of the rich and the Poor. It critiques a consumerist mindset, where Poor people may be tempted to spend beyond their means to emulate a lifestyle they cannot afford. On the other hand, wealthy individuals often maintain their wealth by spending judiciously, even frugally, safeguarding their resources rather than flaunting them.
Essentially, "The Rich And Poor Mentalities" explores the psychology behind wealth and poverty. The key to financial stability lies not in the abundance of material wealth but in the wisdom of financial management. As we navigate the seas of financial literacy, we may find that richness is not an amount but an attitude, a mentality steeped in discipline, frugality, and thoughtful spending.

It is not a condition, being Rich or Poor,
Where some have little and others have more.
But it is a mentality
that depends on how you manage money.
Poor people spend and act,
As if they are Rich.
Rich people, as a matter of fact,
spend and behave as if they are Poor.
